About Us

Creating a place we wanted to go

Cantina Marina is owned and operated by a unique group of DC restaurateurs and partners who have chosen to be some of the first investors in the “soon to boom” Southwest Waterfront. Through our efforts we have provided a needed amenity to the neighborhood and destination for the city.

Cantina Marina set sail in May of 2003 on DC’s Southwest Waterfront. Situated in the Gangplank Marina, we are the only restaurant on top of the water, offering a unique perspective on DC. Whether gazing at the Washington Monument, incredible sunsets or yachts in the channel, you’ll find yourself relaxing away from it all in the middle of it all.

Cantina Marina also offers an alternative to the DC dining scene. Our casual cuisine and beach atmosphere is a great combination for a quick bite, a private party or corporate outing. From full blown dock parties in the summer, to tower receptions in the winter, you are sure to have an entertaining and successful event at Cantina.
